For when your station requires an extra pair of hands
My radio career began at the age of 16, with no formal qualifications except the GCSEs I left school with. Since then I have worked on national radio brands such as Smooth, Heart and Capital as well as local and community stations. In that time I have worked across a number of areas and roles in the industry – from studio production, to sound production, web management, to video editing. My voice can even be heard on-air from time to time too!

I have experience in producing shows, both in studio or out on location. Whether it’s a competition that needs to run smoothly, a Breakfast Show which needs a cover producer, or a special broadcast that requires an extra pair of hands, I can guide your presenters to a broadcast your station will be proud of.
Most recently I worked on the new Late Show on Key 103, bringing a late night talk programme back to the station. During my time on the show we managed to double the amount of hours the time slot had on the station within the first full RAJAR. Topics including banning the burqa, making abortions illegal and tackling driving laws. We also held live on-air debates with the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, allowing the listeners to call and ask the chief questions directly.
I have worked on a number of outdoor broadcasts in my career – from presenting, producing, or simply doing all the technical stuff back at the studio.
I’ve even co-ordinated a full day of OB’s for Real Radio XS in the past – the station broadcasted from a different location each hour for a charity day. This involved working with venues to arrange suitable times to broadcast there, scheduling which presenters would be on-air in each hour, and which location they’ll be based – plus producing one of the presenters throughout the day.

ROTs don’t have to simply be sending over a copy of the trailer and a couple of live reads – you need to “WOW” them! During my time at CommunicorpUK I produced ROTs for each SPD team across the group, and was keen to make our campaigns stand out from other radio groups. From personalised presenter introductions, to a full video ROT showcasing everything from the on-air content, to the amazing designs your digital team created, to the social media reaction you got from your listeners, even showing them how their competition unfolded behind the scenes.
